Known to Square Dancers as MICKEY, he started square dancing in 1980 and made his first attempts as a caller in 1985. He has been calling regularly since 1990 and can be seen on stage at festivals and jamborees in various European countries. He is active in various clubs and is always asked for courses.

In 1995 he decided to take the path of professional caller, one of the few in Europe. He was the first to call in Croatia and is the first European caller to be booked for an event in Japan. Mickey is a member of the staff of several festivals as well as a ski week. He also calls for about 10 clubs in southern Bavaria, mainly in the Munich area. Every year he calls at 300 dance events, from beginner course to C2.
